| Greenwich Creek Lodge : Long Island Greenwich Creek Lodge is a new fishing resort located in the southern Bahamas. It is designed for visitors whose ideal holiday is focused around fishing and caters to fishing groups, couples, families and the solo traveler. This resort is located overlooking beautiful bonefishing flats, in the quaint settlement of Cartwight’s Long Island. It features twelve spacious, air- conditioned rooms with ceiling fans, tiled floors and a full bath ensuite. The full dining room features delicious homecooked meals with fresh seafood a specialty. Greenwich Creek Lodge has experienced fishing guides with fully equipped Rahming flats skiffs to take you to the extensive, protected wading flats that exist along the west side of the island. These protected flats insure even in varying weather you’ll be able to fish almost every day. The lodge works with Ivan, Elvis, and Dwayne Knowles, pioneers in guiding anglers in the Deadmans Cay area. Your guide will greet you each day at the lodge dock, it is a short five to ten minute run if you are fishing the “inner flats” or thirty minutes north if you fish the “outer flats”. The bonefishing is some of the best in the Bahamas, with over 200 square miles of wadeable flats. In our experience most of these white sand flats can be waded barefoot, for very comfortable fishing. We have set up our packages to include a half-day of fishing on the last day of your trip to coincide with the flight out of Long Island at aprox. 2:00pm. This is one of the best bonefishing bargains in the Bahamas we have found, and a level of fishing lodge not often found throughout the Caribbean.
